Can I pretend that I lost my driver's license even though I never went to the court ceremony?

Ok, I have a court date to get my license this October, but I recieved my paper license last year in September!! So my name's in the system. I wanted to know, what if I go to the DMV and just tell them that my driver's license is lost? Will they give me a new one? Will they know that I didn't show up at court?

Dress cute, go DMV, if they hassle you cry or have an anxiety attack if you cannot fake cry. Someone working at DMV will help you answe rthis question. They are not all heartless.

Unfortunately, the DMV is linked up with the courts and will definitely know that you didn't go to court & didn't just 'lose' it.  I would just play this one straight.  Do what you're supposed to do and get court over with and go get your license.  I know it sucks, but, you've gotta do the responsible thing:-)
