I want to make it so that only the owner & moderators are allowed to delete a group message, yet I cannot find a way to do this. Is there even a way, or am I stuck?

  1. You can restrict the messages area:

    http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/groups/...

    Change moderator privileges:

  2. yahoo gives the option to those who contribute the ability to post, and also to delete it. there is no group setting to change that, the poster really owns that post, not the group owner. the only way to prevent this is to hide the archives from the members- cant see it- cant delete it- but by doing this, if a group has any web readers, this will affect them as well. only then people who have mail settings where they get group mail into e-mail will get posts. this setting may limit your group activity.

management- under group settings click messages- Posting and Archives (Edit) <-- click the edit- under the Posting Options id archives, check moderators- click save changes
