Can I purchase a pair of handcuffs from a police station and from an "on duty" police officer?

no cuase they are all marked with serial numbers, so if some went missing the cop with that number would be fucked. try ebay or any other website

No..but you can buy them online or at any uniform shop.

I don't think you can, as they are all issued, and they would have to report why they sold their handcuffs.  Go online and search. Smith and Wessen sells handcuffs, I mean if Dog the bounty hunter could get a pair anyone else should too.

No but you can shop on-line or you can go to a army navy store and buy a pair. I bought a pair at the army navy store but you can look on-line to and shop around to find the best deal.

The reason that you can't buy really handcuffs from the police station or on duty police officer is. Some how little kids find them and handcuff there little brother or sister or the little brother or sister handcuffs the big brother or sister and some times that's when the handcuffs have bin in a box for a long time because the keys have gone missing and then when your 5 year old son finds them and wants to play a prank on your 16 year old Daughertyr then you have to take a trip to the police station and get them to un handcuff her.

No.  Any officer that sells their duty gear could be in trouble with their department, unless that officer purchased the gear with their own money.  Even then, they could not sell anything that is illegal for civilians to have.

While on-duty, officers would not be working in the best interest of the city/county/state to be selling their equipment.
