Can I purchase a very fast Jet Ski (PWC) for $1000?

Question

I've got money to spend... so I need opinions on what type of jet ski/Wave runner I can get.

Can someone give me prices and what type of model I should get?

I want a fast one.

i don't think $1000 will get you much of a boat. for the money it will be older and not have the HP to get real fast. for the cash i bet you won't get one that will do more than about 40MPH. when i owned sea-doos it would cost that much in yearly maintenance. you figure the new sea-doos can run $14,000...... a grand will get you a mid 1990's maybe. those had like 60 HP..... get a stand up. they maybe will be more fun @slower speeds. Sea-doo had one last year or the year before that had a seat and you could take it off for a stand up model..the sell thru wasn't very strong. you might could find one cheap.

I use to own a Yamaha 3 seater and loved it. But, I no longer used it as much as I should have so I sold it.  I also know someone who owned a Ski Do but recently sold it.   If and when you buy a machine, I have three band new bottles of Bombardier Rotax Formula XPS Synthetic Two Stroke Oil if  you are interested. I am looking to sell 3 x4 Liters for $60.00.
