Can I put E85 in my gas tank?

I have a small truck capable of using E-85, can I mix the gas that is already in my truck with E-85?

  1. Simple answer: Yes. E85 is diluted with gasoline to slightly raise the octane level, so putting it in with regular gasoline will not hurt anything.


  2. If the manual says your truck can run E85, it'll run straight E85, straight gas, or any mix ratio thereof.

  4. yes you can,but you are going to notice a fall in gas mileage.e85 does not burn as efficiently as regular gas.

  6. Sure.  A Flex-fuel vehicle can run on E85 and it can run on gas.  It doesn't care which of the two fuels ( or mix of the two ) you have in the tank.
