Some wonderful thief stole a wheel off our campervan. Because of the age and style of the van finding a replacement is difficult (and very expensive) hence why the thief did a free DIY.We have managed to locate a same model/make/year vehicle for spares, the problem is his vehicle is a different specification (diesel v petrol). His tyres are 185/14 and ours are 175/14.Is the rim likely to be the same, as same make etc (but can accept either width tyre )?If it is likely to be a different size rim would you be able to fit a 175/14 on it (or would it be too narrow)? Searching through the internet seems to indicate in some instances a rim can accommodate a small range of widths.Thank you for any answers or advice.
