This is a slightly flexy surfboard w/ wheels!

It is a Sector 9 Phoenix, 44.5".

I put Powell GBones 97A on Thunder 149ers, and I surf it hard everywhere.

I put narrower trucks on than usual, and harder wheels for skatepark action (vs. the usual downhill setup for this long a deck).

It rips, and is the closest thing to surfing out of the water, but takes all my skills and power to manuever almost 4 feet on bowls and banks.

I practice my footwork on it inside to build up the muscles in the lower legs and feet, and the bushing creak; I don't want people I live with to know how often I'm on the skate!

Peace, Ken

  1. Use some powdered graphite on the contact points of the bushings.  It might help some.
