Can I put a statue in my betta fish's tank?

I have a small statue of a fish that I was going to use to decorate the tank. Before I put it in i want to know if it will harm or bug my betta.

  1. It'll be perfectly fine.

    Our of my old bettas used to be bored and be so lethargic, but when we bought him a statue thingy, he was very active again. It's a good idea to decorate your tank.

  3. Nope It wont bother your betta. As long as it's tank is big enough for him to swim around it. Make sure you boil it to get all the germs off it!

  4. It'd be more of a help than a hindrance to your beta. It would give him a place to hide away. =)

    Just make sure you rinse it off real well with only water to prevent any unwanted chemicals/general stuff getting in and polluting the water.

  5. As long as it's made to be in a fish tank, it should be fine. If it's not something made to be a tank decoration, I wouldn't. Some minerals found in rocks can be harmful to some fish and if it's painted, there is a chance it could be toxic to the fish. Hope I helped!
