Can I put all male or all female platys in a tank?

Question

I don't want them to breed.

Which would be better? All males or all females?

Do platys get along with guppies and cory catfish?

I will be getting a 14-20 gallon fish tank.

That would be preferable.  All males or all females, your preference.  Guppies and Cory cats would be fantastic tank-mates.

Yes, although you might want to go with male platys only since females tend to be pregnant already when you get them from the pet shop.

Platys,guppies,and cory cats get well together and are great in a community tank-i own one myself.

It would be better to put one gender it your tank. If you don't and the mate it can make your fish take look dirty and gross.

yeah,but i suggest keeping 2 females for every male.

it's not necessarely preferable to separate them unless you really dont' want to breed them

but it's absolutely fine to put them in from one gender

and yes, those are great tankmates for both of them, no problem at all
