Can I put an after-market deck in my 04 Trailblazer?

Some install guys told me my factory CD player is the "computer" for my car, but I have also heard that only applies to On-Star, which I do not have. They said to switch out the CD player would cost more money than it's worth and I should just keep the factory deck in. But another place told me they can do it for $40, didn't mention anything about this... Anyone know what the real deal is?

Im sure if you search yahoo for a trailblazer forum they will have lots of info on this. Also look on www.cardomain.com and enter you year only and im sure if it can be done it will show it on there.

yes you can put anaftermarket stereo in any car truck or whatever

the 40 dollars they charge is 15 0r 20 bucks for the wiring harness and the rest for the actual installation so just get a car stereo take it to them and they'll do it for you for the very fair price of 40 dollars
