Where I am you CAN recycle ceral boxes but you CANNOT for pizza boxes. If it is not clean, we cannot recycle it. Most pizza boxes arent clean so we dont. However, boxes that frozen pizzas come in are fine. The Pizza in those is usually wraped inside the box so its fine.

And don't listen to all these people saying yes to both. You should really look it up for where you live.

Yes to cereal-NO to pizza boxes. Obviously no one else knows this because everyone has mis-led you by saying "yes" Pizza boxes are NOT recyclable because of pizza grease. Most frozen pizza boxes are though. Depends on the amount of contamination on the cardboard. Your city recycling should have a webpage or go ahead and call. They will be able to give you a list of what they recycle and what they don't. You may be surprised-a lot of stuff that has the recycling symbol on the bottom- your city doesn't actually recycle.

Yes you can. I put mine out wednesday and they took them all. To be safe call your sanitary dept that picks up the garbage.

Yes you can place them in your recycle container. During the reclamation process it is all mixed with chemicals to breakdown the fibers. The grease and ink on the box along with any glue will be separated.

You can pretty much recycle any wood byproduct.

Check with your local council - they are usually (in most countries) in charge of garbage disposal. Otherwise check on your bin itself - mine has a list of what is and isn't recyclable. In my case, pizza boxes aren't but cereal is fine.

Depends on the program regs where you live. Cereal boxes are recyclable, but a lot of places do not take food-contaminated items.  If you want to go to the trouble to remove the food-stained portions, corrugated cardboard recycles well.

A clean cereal box can definitely be recycled. Pizza boxes are a different story.

According to Eco-Cycle.org, paper fibers aren't recyclable if they're "contaminated with food."  Of course, if the box doesn't have pizza grease or food stuck to it, it's probably OK to be recycled.

Earth911.org writes that Barrington, R.I.’s Department of Public Works has banned pizza boxes from recycling bins due to the contaminants. However, even if a box does have food scraps and grease, it can be composted.

I always recycle these kinds of boxes...just make sure all food is out and break those boxes down! I do remove the cereal bag from the box. It could be used to secure a small container without a lid in the fridge, carried along in your pocket to pickup dog poo on a walk around the neighborhood, container a dirty diaper, etc.

yes you can! u can strip the boxes into thin strips then immerse it in water. after that, when it is already soft, put an amount of chlorine, so that it will become white. then put it in a piece of cloth so that the water content will be sipped out. then let it dry.

after following these steps,

you will now have a good looking recycled paper.
