Can I put codecs onto my Xbox360?

Question

My 360 plays AVI format fine but when i try and play DivX and Xvid they don't work. I burn the movies to a DVD and i don't use the computer to stream the movies. Is there any way to make the DivX and Xvids work other than using the computer to stream them? I thought maybe there was a way to put the codecs on the Xbox. Thanks

You have the wrong category for this type of question my friend..  this is for the 360 blog questions. Try going back to the ask the question page and there where it has the categories listed. Click onto each one of them to get more subcategories.  This question could probably be answered really quickly and accurately in the correct category.. It is easy to think you have only a few categories to choose from,  but really there are a lot more of them to choose from. Just click the category and subcategories will drop down from it
