  1. Its NOT supposed to work that way as when you PAIR an iPod with a computer it erases all songs on it!!! and deletes pairing with original computer.

Sharing music, games and item is also illegal!

You cannot transfer files from an ipod to itunes as Itunes is the MASTER location of the files. if you NEED to transfer files from your ipod to the computer as you have lost the original you need a 3rd party application (I use Yamipod for mac) but a whole range can be found on www.versiontracker.com and enter ipod transfer in the search box under your operating system.

once you have the utility installed run it and close itunes! connect the ipod (if itunes starts up and asks if you want to pair say NO and close itunes again). then with the utility transfer the songs form the ipod to your hard disk.

Then disconnect the ipod, START itunes... drop the files you have just transferred onto the itunes Library and once the files have been copied into the library you can delete the originals (NEVER MOVE or touch the itunes folder on your computer otherwise you will lose the music let itunes manage it for you).

Now reconnect the ipod and when it asks pair say YES and it will transfer the music to your computer.

if doing this with 2 computers you have to do this on both!!

  2. Yes, though I am not sure if this will work with the 3rd generation Nano. But it's worth a try, yes?

First: sync the game(s) to your iPod (from your friend's computer)

Second: click on "my computer" & then your iPod drive

Three: click on iPod Control & create a new folder > cut and paste the Games_RO into the new folder

Four: Go back into iTunes and untick the sync games button > eject the iPod

Five: Reconnect your iPod > go back into my computer > iPod drive > iPod Control > new folder > COPY (do not cut) the Games_RO folder and put it back in iPod Control > close folder and eject your iPod.

The game should now be playable.

IF - for some reason it does NOT play - copy the game .ipg file and paste it in your iPod Drive (under notes or create a new folder) have your friend authorize YOUR computer with HIS/HER password/email (in iTunes click on STORE & Authorize Computer,) do  the same steps as before, but AFTERWARD DE-authorize your computer (again, STORE + DE-authorize Computer,) and your friend can sign out and you can log back in with your ID and whatnot.

Remember to save the Games_ro folder on your desktop/documents folder in case you have to restore your iPod.

Also, if you get the message "this version of the game is no longer supported" just sync/add a song/video YOU yourself have bought from iTunes and the message should go away.

    Hope this helps.

    Good luck. =J
