I have two normal old goldfish, and they are very pretty and look great in the bowl they are in. I have a few miniature water lilies that I think the goldfish would like, are they okay to put in the bowl with them?

  1. ....yes, the lillies will enjoy the goldfish water, as they will absorb some ammonia as food

....the fish will enjoy nibbling around the roots too

....I hope they make great blooms (consider some additional liquid fertilizer for them to boost their bloom-making, as ammonia is generally good for leaf and root growth)

....goldfish water is great to use when watering your houseplants and other plants, like outdoor veggies too

....by the way, how big is the bowl you keep?

....I always enjoy the view of fish among plant roots in a nice bowl

    ...thanks

  2. first of all i can not stress enough

DONT ever put goldfish in bowls

(unless it is at least 25 gallon bowl)

    especially not 2 fish

so i suggest you get a tank with a proper filter

goldfish need at least 15 gallons and 10 for each additional

and once you get the tank yes you can put them in

but make sure that they are aquatic plants

and are meant to be put in a tank

cause there might be fertilizer and pesticide etc.on it
