Can I put normal MP4 format on a psp or dose it have to be a adiffrent format?

I find when i converter my videos e.g converting avi to mp4 there is a psp file type, so i select the psp file type and convert it then i put the video on the psp (putting it into the Mp-root folder) it dose not even show! But there are 3 folders in Mp-root folder what are they I've trying putting a normal mp4 file into one of them but do i need to put it in another one of the files?

your putting it in the mp root file silly put it in the VIDEO file duh dumbness

you need to make a folder outside of the psp and call it VIDEO IN CAPITALS

and then copy and paste the video in there
