Question:

Can I put prescription medicine in my carry on bag?

ok well I have like 3 presciption medicine I need to bring

1 is a bottle thats 12 oz and a gel thats 45 g which is like 1.58732 oz and pills not sure what the oz is ^^

so can I put this on my carry on bag? and put it on to a zipper bag? but I donn't think the bottle will fit though lol

  1. you can put pills in a zipper bag, and gel or liquid mediation in a separate zipper big as long as it is prescription.  i have done this, they make exceptions for medicatiuon but it muyst be a prescription.  also go to your airlines website, they have insturctions on there also.


  2. Generally you are limited to bottles of not more than 3 oz. for your liquids and gels.  

    If it's not possible to put your medications in those bottles, or if they don't fit, you have to speak with a TSA agent *before* you go through security to make them aware.  They do make exceptions.

  3. Yes, in the original bottle with your name on it.

  4. Prescription and OTC drugs are exempt from the rule limiting the amounts of liquid/gel products in your carry on.
