    Yes, you can mix gases in your tires, but keep in mind that some gases will leak out faster than others will.


  2. I think you have N2 in your tires, but if not go to your local mechanic that filled them with helium.  You can mix any gas by the way. So it shouldn't be a problem. Still check with the guy that filled your tires.

  3. You currently have Helium in your tires? I think you meant to say Nitrogen. The reason N is used instead of just plain air is that the N atoms are bigger and tend to seep out of the tire at a slower rate. Using He would make it worse as He atoms are smaller and would leak out faster.

    Yes, you can mix atmospheric air (a combination of Nitrogen, Oxygen and other gasses) with pure Nitrogen.

    You can add regular air to nitrogen-filled tires, but you'll lose any advantage -- if any, and most likely small -- than when filling with nitrogen only.
