I found some good sized sticks/branches in my yard, and i think my gerbils would have a good time chewing on them, are these ok to give to my gerbils?

  1. Ya they are just fine to give to your gerbil's .

  2. You need to find out what they come from and see if this wood is safe to gerbils; some wood is posionous. So no-one can say yes or no unless you find that out.

...Just don't risk it if you can't figure out where they come from and/or can't be bothered to sterilize them as described.

  3. Hi,

Make sure you kill all the germs by:

Baking them in the oven at 300ºf for about 5-10 minutes

    LET COOL

    OR

Boil them in a pot of hot boiling water for 5-10 minutes

    LET DRY

    Hope this helps!!

    P.S.

Make sure the wood is from a regular or an oak tree (no maple, yew, pine)

  4. It depends what kind of tree it is from, some wood can harm gerbils.
