I'm seventeen and I've never had an actual job, however my great grandmother pays me to come over once a week and clean her house.

And what would I put it as?

  1. Don't put down some fancy job title for what your doing, it is not janitorial or custodial work, they would expect you have worked in a building at an actual job. Simply be honest and write down housekeeper, if you are doing the type of resume that lets you list out the main duties of your job you say exactly what you told us here, weekly house keeping at a private residence for the elderly. When you go for an interview they will ask and you can elaborate on it then by telling them exactly what kind of cleaning you done.

  2. Place it as private housekeeping or you can even place it as volunteer experience as elderly assistance

  3. Private Custodial work, but they will be asking about hrs per week too..

  4. custodial work?

  5. janitorial services. then if they ask explain what you mean. At 17 they don't expect you to have alot of experience.

  6. Sure, put anything you can think of! The worst that can happen is that it doesn't count...

  7. Put it down as private housekeeping.

  8. Custodial work or janitor blah blah wouldn't cut it.  That's what you would put down if you worked at a business, and they'll ask about it.  Write it down as private housekeeping.
