Can I put two hamsters...

Question

I have 2 hammies, Rosa and Peanut. Can I put Rosa in Peanut's cage and Peanut in Rosa's cage? Sorry I'm just bored and I was wondering if they could switch out cages.

yes, as long as they aren't together!

if your hamsters r used to each other and aren't agressive towards each others then I don't see why u couldn't try it. I would recommend adding some of their toys in with them. Don't worry, I do ramdom things when I'm bored too(=

Sure you can just don't put them in the same cage together.  There shouldn't be a problem with switching them.

i wouldn't they would get confused by the different smells and get really stressed.

Yeah you can switch their cages but never put them together in the same cage. Syrians are always territorial and will fight viciously if together and if you have dwarfs, even they become territorial if they have stayed alone for sometime. Just remember to wash the cages properly before switching them so that the smell of Rosa in her cage does not affect Peanut (since hamsters tend to become restless and defensive when they smell other hamster's scent)
