Can I putt with the bag of clubs on my back? (they're light...bit isit legal?)?

Don't think it's illegal, but I can't be sure.  Besides why would you want to do that?

I believe that would be legal as long as the putter doesn't come in contact with the bag.  If it did, it could be construed as a mechanical aid in your putting.

Why would you want to do that?  You could, but you wouldn't hit a tee shot or approach shot with the bag on  your back.  Why putt with it?  Just set it down off the green and pick it up on the way to the next tee.

I am not sure if it would be legal or not.  But I'll tell you what, next time you and I are playing a match for $$$ you can putt with the bag on  your back all you want.
