  1. Well, if introduced properly (slowly, in a neutral environment) then it's possible that they'll get along. Keep the two new ones in a separate cage from the old one, but place the cages side by side. Watch for any negative behavior. The introduction process is a slow process and should not be rushed. In some cases, the animals will simply not get along. However, rats are social creatures and your old rat will most likely enjoy the new company.

Just remember to introduce slowly (in a bathtub or something) and quarantine the new rats for at least a week.

    Good luck.

  2. Think so.....

  3. you should probably expect some fighting. your rat will probably mark its territory! so htis is how you do it... you put them together and if they fight seperate them then after they calm down then put them back together agian keep doing this untill they catch on... and keep doing this till you fell comfertible enough to let them be together in a cage without your supervision...your rat will probably get a little jelous so dont be too much in to the new rats your rat will be sad and not trust you as much as it used to... introducing rats can be pretty hard. So all you have to do is let your rat and new rats know that you are going to trust them all and you will take them out of there cage with all 3 of them not just one or two...you should exspecually do that so they get to know eachother more...and also if your rat now trusts you enough it should be way more easy to introduce your new rat friends to him!!!

  4. There are some good sites on introducing new rats.  It can take a while before they get used to each other enough to be placed in the same cage.  Until that happens, you're going to need all the necessary items to keep your rats separate: cages, water bottles, food dishes, toys, etc.

Additionally, in some cases they just might not get along.  If that happens, think about what you would do.
