Can I qualify for Section 8? ?

I am a full-time college student. Right now, Im trying to maintain paying rent and also paying for my classes on a payment plan. Could I qualify for Section 8 from the state for assistance? I make less then 20,000 a year by myself.

section 8 housing gives priority to people with kids and also those who live in homeless shelters.  You might be able to get put on a waiting list, but depending on your location they may not even take names anymore.  In my area, the list is like 3 years long.  You'd have graduated by then.
