I live in Tampa, and I've heard that if I show up at the port on the day a cruise is leaving, there's a good chance I can get on for free. Apparently, they figure you'll spend money on drinks and shore excursions, so they may as well fill another room. Is there any truth to this? We've gone on a cruise (out of Tampa) before, but we paid for it way in advance... but I'd love a free cruise!
