Can I really not eat Gum with Braces?

Gum is, like, my life (jk...kinda) and I'm getting Braces tomorrow.

  1. I've had braces for 5 years and always had gum in my mouth.

    Don't worry about it. You can chew it. It hardly ever gets stuck. Even if it does, just use a toothpick to take it out. It rarely gets caught.


  2. have you ever had your gum caught in your hair? that's what braces are like. You can chew gum, but you'll never get it out of the braces...Your call.

  3. God.  eat mints.  don't chew gum.   i think you need another purpose in life.

  4. i have had braces. try sugar free gum, it doesnt stick. you should be fine.

    JUST MAKE SURE AND CHEW SUGAR FREE GUM

    and thats practically all the kinds that people like

    trident, orbit, stride, 5, extra

    just dont chew like double bubble or like bubble yum

    or anything with sugar

    because it will get caught up in there and it will be a mses

  8. orthodontics say not to but every one does and they look perfectly fine but chew sugar free gum like orbits or any that is sugar free   good luck  aim getting braces to!!
