Can I receive a FAX message sent to a telephone being in another city to my computer?

  1. It is possible, but takes a little techno-juggling.

    1 - Subscribe to Call-Forwarding with your telco/Fax service-provider.

    2 - Subscribe to a VoIP service that can receive Fax calls.

    3 - Set your call forwarding to go to the VoIP service DID (direct inbound dialing) telephone number.

    - Now, you can retrieve your faxes from abroad using your PC or VoIP ATA adapter.

    I subscribe to two VoIP services (InPhonex & CallCentric) who both can receive Fax messages via the assigned VoIP phone number.

    When either VoIP account is set to receive Fax messages, the Faxes will be stored in your account, just like VoiceMail.   Then you can either access your web account online and view the Faxes online, or also have the Fax messages Forwarded to your email account for retrieval via email.
