As of right now, I will be attending an out-of-state university and tuition and room&board are only covered in Fed. and School Loans.

So I was wondering... if I do excellent my freshman year of college and obtain say like a 4.0 cumulative gpa, will I be eligible to apply for any academic scholarships for my next year in college?

I'm kind of stressed out right now... haha

  1. Absolutely. If you earn a high GPA, you will likely automatically qualify for basic scholarships based on your average. I'm curious, though. If you're capable of getting a high GPA in college, why couldn't you get entrance scholarships/bursaries based on your high school average - assuming that they would be good as well?

  2. of course! In most universities, you can be eligible if you have a 2.5. With a 4.0, you will probably obtain many scholarships. I would recommend to also be actively involved in the school campus. Extracurricular activities look great in scholarship application.

    Therefore:

    4.0GPA + extracurricular activities = getting scholarships
