I have a Sony camcorder and want to tape a ballgame but I want the audio to come from the radio broadcast of the game. Can I hook up a cable from my radio to my video camera to get this sound or is there any other way of doing it? I have an audio output jack and a headphone jack on the camera. Please help!

  1. You do realize you can add the audio to video later while editing - they really don't need to be recorder together, don't you?

But... in order to do what you want, the radio needs a headset out and the camcorder needs a mic-in jack. Because the radio volume is adjustable, you really need to monitor the audio and it would be best if the audio was manually controllable. The cheapest camcorders I know of with manual audio and mic-in jack are the Canon HV20, HV30, Sony HDR-HC7 and HC9.

It would be prudent to make it all work before you go to the game...
