Can I recover pics from photo share on IM after I've logged off?

Question

I was photo sharing during an IM, my new friend was sending me a bunch of pics. I thought I had saved them, but didn't. I logged off before I realised what had happened. PLEASE, tell me I can recover the pics, and how to do it.
