Can I refill the battery on my CBR600?

Question

It is a Yuasa YTZ10S, and is filled w/ sulfuric acid. When you buy them new, they come with acid packs to fill them. Mine came on the bike(05) and is now dead. Can I pry the top off and put more acid in it? Any input appreciated.

buy a new battery

spend 30 dollars on a battery tender

a trickle charger will keep your battery like new

the way it charges it remove deposits from the plates and actually renew your bat.

dry cells in a battery are a bad thing, yes you can fill the battery with distilled water and charge it, but, first check the battery with a volt meter, if it has a charge of less than 10, it will more than likely require you to charge it constantly, buy a new one, $60 to $90 dollars

Buy a new battery.  This will save the trouble.  For me 2 years is about what I am getting on a battery these days.

I agree with the guy above me. Just bite the bullet and buy a new battery. You don't want to mess around with sulfuric acid. They aren't that expensive.

Add distilled water and put a charger on it.
