  1. The only real purpose of registering is so you can vote in a party's primary.

  2. While you probably can't register, you can join political groups, and you can volunteer to work on a campaign. You can call up the local headquarters of the party (or the campaign of any candidate you want to support) and tell them you are interested in either volunteering or working on political campaigns and ask them to put you to work. Yes, it's that easy. Odds are you won't get paid, but what a great experience.

  3. WHY would you at such an early time in your life, "Formally"  want to be labeled a republican.????  Is there a reason for such immediacy ???

  4. The official act of registering with a party is done when you register to vote.  In some states, like Texas, you never register to a party.

I suggest you just get some Republican buttons and T-shirts to wear.  Maybe one of those Elephant head masks.

  5. The problem with your question is with the word "register". In all of the US states, citizens do not register with a party; "registration" refers to registering to vote. You must be at least 18 to register to vote.

However, you can , in a sense, "register" with your choice of political parties, by joining one of their official party organizations. In most of the U.S., there are organizations in cities, counties or the state, for you to register as a member of, say, the Young Republicans. In many localities, they allow participation and membership with minors who express a desire to join, and share the same political goals and ideals, and express an intention to become a member of the Republican Party when they are old enough to register to vote.  In some areas, there are High School Young Republicans organizations. Check with your local area party organizations.

  6. Sadly you officially register when you are 18 years of age, but Young Republicans is an option!

  7. Join the young republicans they should have a web site of some kind.maybe- youngrepublicans.com or something like it
