I just bought a Blackberry Curve 8310. All the themes I have has icons on my home screen. Is there a way to remove them? I'd prefer for it just to have time, battery, etc., like most of my old phones. I don't want it to have phonebook, voicedial, etc. Thanks!

  1. you can hide them from showing by pressing menu on the icon that you wish to hide then scroll to hide and click on trackball....

  2. I am not 100% sure about each individual icon, but if you go to Settings>Options>Advanced Options>Applications, you should see all of your programs.  You can highlight the ones you don't like and push Menu>Delete.  When the Applications page loads, be advised that it has to "populate the list," so it may appear blank for a few seconds.  Otherwise, you can use your Desktop Manager that came with the CD to add and remove programs.  I'm sorry if this doesn't answer your entire question, but I hope that it gets you started.

P.S.  A "cheat" way is to move your unwanted icons into an existing folder or a new folder (Menu from the Home Screen>Add Folder).  That way, they don't clutter or slow you down when you're navigating the main screen.
