Question:

Can I remove the "TV" input from my Samsungs LCD TV source menu?

I have a Samsung LCD TV (LN46A550) and do not have an input connected to the TV coaxial input. Instead I use HDMI with my cable box. When I press the "source" button, it is smart enough only to toggle thru inputs that are actively connected but for some reason "TV" is always in the menu. Is it possible to remove it?

Secondly, when I press the source button on the TV panel, the selected input is displayed and goes away af.ter a couple of seconds. However, when I use the same command on the remote, the display menu doesn't go away, it displays the menu until I hit another command (ie. Exit or OK). This too is annoying.

  1. just leave it be

  2. Sorry--No.  I have/had customers that are watching their HD cable box on channel 3 because they inadvertantly hit the channel up/down button on the remote.  I havent found a set yet that allows you to skip the antenna input.
