So I bought a new 360degree swivel/rocker/recliner and there's this ugly wooden plywood disk on the bottom of it, and while I want to take it off, I'm not sure if it's supposed to come off, I mean what would be left would be a 14ish" square metal plate touching the floor and that dosen't look like it would hold me from tipping. Or is there supposed to be a cover on it? Or should I paint it?

  1. If you take plywod off chair will become unstable  Try covering with paint same color as carpet wont be as notice-able

  2. It's not going to work that well if you remove this disk.  Take the disk off and spray it flat black, let it dry and reinstall.  You could also upholster it in matching fabric, but that's going to be a lot of work to find and install.
