Can I rent a scooter in London for my cruise?

I will be traveling to London from the USA and taking a cruise in July. I'll need a scooter on the ship, for 12 days. Any advice?

I don't see why not ... I've just put mobility scooter hire UK into google and it's pulled up quite a lot of sites ... you would need to find a place in the area you need, for instance if you're flying into London but taking the cruise from Dover, it might be a lot easier to pick the scooter up in Dover

the only problems I can think of is, firstly, the fact that you're taking it out of the country which might mean they would want extra insurance or a bigger deposit or something, and secondly that there is a limit on the size of scooter you can take on trains in the UK (I'm not sure what the size limit is, but I know there is one)

if you're spending any time in the UK, have you heard of the Shopmobility scheme? ... most large shopping areas have one and you might want to have a look at their website
