Can I repair an Error in XP Media Center with Windows XP Professional or Home Edition disk?

Question

I have a computer that has Windows XP Media Edition 2002 service pack 3. It is receiving a few the error messages that some files are either corrupt or missing. I do not have the XP Media CD. I have the 25 digit key for it though. Can I repair it with XP Professional or Home Edition disk that i have? If I can what are the step by step directions?
