Can I replace the big flood light bulbs with energy saver bulbs??

In the basement apartment the main lighting is flood lights. And I was wondering is it possible to replace the floods with energy savers??

Yes they sell enegry saving floods at lowes or home depot.

I replaced my outdoor floods with conventional CFL's which are exposed to the weather and they have worked great, out of five over the past six years I have had zero failures and they provide loads of good light and I am using the little 60 watters to boot!

Yes I bought some at Menards and Lowes for our outdoor floodlights. They seem to work ok.

They do make outdoor florescent lights, they have a plastic cover over them to protect them from the weather.  Available at all of the home stores.
