Can I reserve a flight without paying for it?

I will be traveling in august and had checked the flight prices, but when we decided to buy them the day after, the price had gone up, I decided to wait till this week to see if the price dropped again but it hasn't. Can I reserve a flight for 24h without buying it to see if the price goes down. The best package found is trough expedia but I see they don't have a price assurance like orbits where they refund the amount if someone else buys at a lower price. Any advice? I will be using Jet blue Airlines.

It depends upon the flight you are taking like on  American Airlines, you can reserve a flight without paying for it. While you will not find this offer on other major travel websites,  like Jet Blue does not allow reservation of flights without payment.
