Can I restore a "Document 1" in Excel which I closed without saving?

I can't believe I hit close without saving it and without copying and pasting the other worksheet. I really need that work - it took ages to do! I can't find it in the trash and it's not in the recent files. Is it lurking anywhere in the background? I'm on an eMac.

  3. unfortunatley you can't unless it was the computer running out of power or freezing it does an atomatic back up but if you have just pressed save there is nothing you can do
