so i have a regular gravity toilet and as i was searching online for a pressure toilet, which is not that much to begin with, i had a great idea, but not sure if it can be done.

can i just replace the bowl of the regular gravity toilet with a bowl from a pressure assisted toilet, or are there other mechanics that are different in the bowl as well?

  1. Why do you think you need a pressure toilet?? These are typically used in basements that you actually have to LIFT the sewage up to the drain line... curious?

If this is not the case, then perhaps you have a sewer line obstruction that is causing the toilet to not function properly. If everything is working properly, the toilet should clear the sewage quickly with no signs of backing up or slow drainage.

  2. the answer to your question is no.......... sorry , you cannot retrofit this toilet - the mechanics are different , first the pressure assisted bowl has a special jet at the center of the exit way on the bowl itself that pushes the excriment away at a  flush - second, the tank to bowl gasket and mounting hardware on the pressure assited tank  is different than the gravity toilet tank - if i may, i would recommend an american standard pressure assisted toilet , good luck

  3. The tank & the bowl would pretty much have to be from the same manufacturer.  I would call the manufacturer's help line & ask if it's feasible (before buying the tank).

My suspicion is that it would probably be simpler just to buy a pressure assisted toilet.  Buying the tank separately might cost as much as the toilet, or close to it.
