Question:

Can I return a 37" LCD TV to Best Buy?

I bought an LCD tv from BB about 25 days ago. The refund policy as I understand it is 30 days. Am I allowed to return it if it isn't broke? I just want to get a plasma instead since I have seen a plasma and saw how inferior LCD is. I want to make sure before I bring this HUGE box back to BestBuy. I will pick a best answer tomorrow!

  1. It shouldn't matter as long as its within 30 days and you still have your reciet... I have no idea why you would trade LCD for a plasma. Personal thought, the LCD last longer... but thats just me have fun.

  2. you can call to verify but yes, they wil charge a 15% restocking fee normally but if you tell them you want to exch it for a plasma they might let you straight exch and just pay the difference and wave restocking fee.

  3. Yes, you can do a return or exchange (as long as you have all of the original contents and packaging) within 30 days.  If you are looking at plasmas I would recommend the th42px85u by panasonic.  That is if there are no pioneers available...

Edit: @ the person above me:  LCD and plasma both are rated for a half life of 30,000 hours.  While LCD have light sources that need to be replaced plasmas offer superior picture quality and have no light source to burn out.

@ the person bellow me: Best Buy will not charge a restocking fee on Televisions, only on laptops and other products that have a 14 day return policy such as SLR cameras and PDAs
