Can I return a magazine if it's faulty?

I bought a magazine yesterday from a bookstore kind of far away from where I live, and the disc came with it didn't work. So I bought another one from a news agency in my neighborhood. I called the bookstore and asked them if I could return the item, they said no. I just want to know if I can return a faulty magazine, so I'll know what to do next time I have the same problem. Thanks!

depends how much the magizine costs. if it was 3.99 then it probably wont work.

If the DVD or CD was missing, yes you could ask the news agency for another magazine, but if it's faulty they are under no obligation to change or refund it.

Email the editor of the magazine and explain your situation, I'm sure they will mail you out another one and maybe a freebie on top - they are pretty good at that sort of thing.

Look in the first page for contacts/emails.

You can not return a periodical. They just assume you've read it and now want your money back.
