  1. Before you do anything you should check with your local police department and/or Dept of Motor Vehicles about what the rules are.  The rules about driving electric devices on public roadways differs from place to place, so check it out in your area.

  2. you must be a licensed driver in Florida, the scooter can not have an engine greater than 49cc,

  3. In most cases, NO.

So far, as far as I know, no electric scooter has been built that complies with the laws needed to be ridden on the road.

They don'tt have a VIN/Chassis or engine numbers and cant be registered, so, therefore are illegal to be ridden on the road.

You would also need a motorbike licence to ride a 2 wheeled vehicle on the road.

If you are willing to spend that much money, you would be far better off to buy a proper petrol powered, complied, registered motor scooter and get your motorbike licence and do everything legally.

I wouldn't trust any electric scooter from China at 60odd mph either.

  4. You really need to check with your local DMV.  You can not even get a good electric scooter for that kind of money.
