  1. it would take alot longer, if you think you have an infection...chances are you'll need to scan your computer from a uninfected computer.

  2. i think you will be able to

  3. I don't see why not, but it would be slower than running one first and the other afterwards.

  4. Hello,

(ANS) Factually YES! you can do that but I wouldn't really recommend or advise you too do that. Why? because running x2 scans at the same time is quite likely to overload the CPU usage i.e. the CPU will run topped out at 100% usage.

**Meaning that if you run x2 scans at the same time or in parallel then your machine will actually slow down.

**Conclusion:- There is 100% no benefit from running x2 scans at the same time.

**Unless you have extremely powerful hardware with say x2 quad cores & a motherboard to match & vast amounts of memory i.e. 8GB of RAM then I wouldn't run x2 scans at the same time.

  5. * Run one at a time... these are important steps your taking to secure your computer. You must use Patience.

    * One will most likely conflict with the other if you run both at the same time.

  6. You should never run 2 different AntiVirus sollutions on the same OS.

They will conflict with each other, cause system problems, as they will both want to scan the same file at the same time (Auto Protect). Also there have been many occasions when virus's have been able to access a system due to conflicts.

Remove one version, and only use one.

  7. You can but they tend to slow each other down I find that if I run Adaware at the same time as McAfee - Adaware hangs on the McAfee files.

  8. No that is not a good idea. it will be very slow and they will start looking at each others virus list signatures and may take forever,They will see each others quarantine file and strt reporting those also. If you know you have an infection it is also better to perform the scan from sfae mode.

  9. It's not recommended. But so it doesn't inconvenience you the best time is to start it just before you go to bed and leave it to it. Both my scans run during the night, one at 3 and the other at 5.
