Can i run 3 channels of my 4 channel amp at a 4 ohm load each and the other one on a 2 ohm load or do they all have to have the same load? i want to put 2 speakers per channel but 2 are 4 ohm so that would give me a 2 ohm load. the others are all 8 ohm so they will give me a 4 ohm load if wired in parallel. thanx

  1. First off, where did you get 8 ohm speakers from and please don't tell me you are using home equipment and car equipment together.  usually the only thing you see with the option of 8 ohms is subs and i should hope you are not trying to use a 4ch to run 6 speakers and 2 subs.  To answer the question, yes you could do that but be warned as what channel has the 4 ohm load is going to get significantly less power than the 2ohm  load so it may sound weird depending on how you are setting the whole thing up.

  2. h**l NO!
