  1. You didnt tell your system specs so i dont know. But COD4 does run on XP.

  2. it depends what the specifications of your Gateway comp is.  It will run on:

    OS: XP or Vista

Processor: 2.6ghz Pentium IV or equivalent (3.2ghz recommended for Vista)

RAM: 1024mb (1536mb recommended for Vista)

Video Card: DirectX 9-compliant Shader 3.0 card with 128 MB of DDR Video Memory (256 MB recommended) AGP 8x or PCI-Express x16

Sound Card: 16-bit DirectX 9-compliant sound card

DirectX9 for XP and 10 for Vista, 8 gigs HD space + 600mb for swap file.

    Supported chipsets:

    Nvidia Geforce 6/7/8 series

    ATi X800 or higher

  3. Make sure the game is compatible with windows xp, check the box it should say which operating systems is compatible with. I believe it is recent games and software are compatible with 2000, xp, and vista. And make sure it has what the game requires, like drive space etc.

  4. How do you expect us to tell you when you say nothing whatsoever about your rig? Like saying--"I have a Chevy. Can I do i 140mph?" Go here and see how your rig fares running that game:

Can also go here and get the demo and see if you can run it.

Demanding, but short, game with some pretty stiff minimum system requirements.

I got COD 4 for $20 from a college girl who bought it to run on her laptop and it wouldn't even let her install it because her laptop didn't even come close to what the game needs.
