I'm looking at using the 2400 watt pyle amplifier to run two of the sony Xplods, would that be over powering the subs or would it be ok?

The subs have 380 rms, and 1300 peak a piece, and the amp puts out 1200 rms a channel.

  1. If you know how to use a multi-meter well you can find the output voltage and amperage. From there, adjust the gain down until you see a rms power value that is okay.

You can get that amp sure, just be SURE to take the above steps so you don't blow any equipment.

  2. that pyle amp is most like a pyle of ****. not to say its bad because it will do what an amplifier does. but i seriously seriously seriously doubt that that pyle is putting out that much. i would be suprised if it put out half of that.

hook them b*****s up i dont think ull have a problem

just dont bridge em. and if the subs are dvc run em to up they ohms. but either way i think you could do it. just use common sense on the volume

  3. 1st Thing Pyle Sucks ***. Its In the Same League As Legacy. Also Focus On Rms Not Peak! Peak Doesnt Mean **** Just Picture It Not There @ All. Note:The More Rms The Better. Also Dont Get A 2-Channel Amp. It Will Work But Mono (1-Channel) Amps Are Highly Recommended For Subs. Both Subs Together Is 2600 Peak & 760 Rms. Heres A Good Amp Thats Closer To Your Subs That Will Fully Power Them!
