I have a piece of reasonable quality aerial cable that goes to a socket in a room with the other accessible end about 2 meters away. It's standard aerial coaxial cable - not normally the same quality used for satellite I know but its still coaxial. What I'd like to do is the use the lower grade coax behind the wall to join onto the high grade PF100 (equivalent to CT100 cable but better for outdoor runs) from the dish using a F type barrel. My thinking is that a short run of low grade coax shouldn't be a problem (and I might be able to get away with having an amplifier by the join) - but then I'm not sure. Can I get away with it?Cheers
