  1. Yup!  In fact, I touch up my walls in high traffic areas about every 6 months this way!  Especially on stair cases, and hallways, where little hands like to touch!  It will freshen it up and no brush strokes as long as you use a roller it will look brand new and freshly painted!

  2. Yes, use something like Kilz, that is for covering marks without bleeding through.

  3. it all depends when the wall was painted last, paint has the tendency of changing colour once it is applied for a long period of time or better yet fade, if you have enough paint repaint the whole wall otherwise you will be able to see the difference in the shade.

Before painting the wall or touching it up , try to wash the marks off by using TSP .

  4. I'd say not really.  Just wipe it down with TSP first.

  5. Yes but for people who use flat paint for a finnish stop it.ALL FLAT PAINT IS ONLY PRIMMER. The reason why people try to use it for a finnish is to hide imperfections stop it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TO GET PROFESIONAL RESULTS IN ANY KIND OF JOB is in the prep work do this right and then you can use semi gloss. If you dont like shine they have low gloss.

  6. yes, but I doubt it will cover the marks. I would first put a good primer over the areas. Let dry completely and make sure the smudges are covered. Then dip a brush in your paint color and start from the center of the area, brushing outward toward the edges, feathering as you go to help the new paint blend in with the old paint. Do it right, you won't be able to tell. Do it wrong, might as well paint the whole wall.
