I went away for a month and my electricity was turned off almost right after I left. I came back to a fridge infested with fruit flies in the freezer and some in the fridge. Also there is a serious mold problem throughout. I bug bombed my apt with 3 bombs and came back the next day to find most bugs dead. I just cleaned out the freezer of the dead bugs and eggs but am still finding them in the tiniest crevaces and am freaking out! Could they be in the vents and this cleaning is pointless? Do I need to get a new fridge? I really can't afford to do that at all!

  1. you need to take it apart ( pull out trays, doors, pretty much every removable part) and wash it with hot water and bleach. you'll probably need to wash it at least two times. the bleach will kill the mold and bugs. shoot, i'd spray the bleach in there and let it sit for a while before you rinse it out.

  2. If you, can take it outside and hose it off. If not, try vacuuming the back (don't tilt it over too far) and bottom of it. Clean it with lots of bleach.
